I am an Instructional Resource Teacher (IRT) for Mathematics in a middle school in Maryland.

I am certified to teach Secondary Math grades 7 – 12 and Special Education grades k – adult.

My first teaching experience was at a non-public special education facility for ages 5 – 21.  I was THE  ONE math teacher for the high school part of the program, so I taught those students multiple subjects until they graduated.  The school specializes in the work that they do with students with Autism.

In the public school system, I have only taught 8th grade pre-algebra and Algebra 1.  But, now as an IRT I support students and teachers of grades 6 – 8, as well as Algebra 1, Geometry, and STEM.

My favorite thing to think about (besides actual instruction) is curriculum.

  1. Hey Bridget,

Hope you’re having a great day!

I’m doing an expert roundup on my site and I think many new Math teachers using education technology products in their classroom like me would love to know your answer to this question :

If you could only use 3 Education technology tools/apps/sites for your teaching which 3 tools would you choose? e.g. WolframAlpha, KhanAcademy and Inside Mathematics.

    Thanks in advance!

As soon as I’m done compiling the results, I would inform and link back to your blog.

    Thank you!
